“We shall demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, truthfulness, and honesty in all
our professional activities in order to inspire the trust and confidence of the children and families
and of those with whom we work”. ~ As a early childhood professional I want to lead by example and let my actions show the importance of moral and ethical principles.
“We shall honor and respect the diverse backgrounds of our colleagues including such diverse
characteristics as sexual orientation, race, national origin, religious beliefs, or other affiliations”.~ I think it is important to understand that every person is different for a variety of reasons and their personal preferences should not interfere with how they are treated.
“We shall be responsible for maintaining the appropriate national, state, or other credential or licensure requirements for the services we provide while maintaining our competence in practice and research by ongoing participation in professional development and education activities”. ~ It’s important to be in compliance with the state requirements but more importantly, it is a mandate for me to stay current with the field of early childhood.

Leading by example, like you said, is the best way to show children the way to behave correctly and act towards other. I think that is a great idea. I also picked a similar ideal that discussed diversity. It is so important to be knowledgeable and respect others no matter what.
I agree that we shall respect every ones cultural ethnic background…. We should welcome all students by not judging them because they maybe different.
