This is my uncle James. I call him Uncle Shorty. I was very short as a child and he use to call me “shorty”. In response I would say “no, you’re shorty”. Its been his name ever since. Although my dad is in my life my uncle has always been a very present male figure in my life. He took me to my first basketball game to see my favorite player at the time. I remember being so excited. He has given me advice about men. He has always been an excellent spiritual role model. He is so funny. There is never a dull moment when he is around. He is such a great example of a man and how a man should care for, love and provide for his family.
