This is one of my favorite pictures. This was a birthday given to me on my last birthday by the lovely child that is in the background of this blog. She is the daughter of one of my childhood friends. I chose this picture because I thought it was thoughtful of her to make me a birthday card even if she misspelled birthday 🙂

Ha ha ha…great pic! It reminds me of when my students make birthday cards. They always write things like, “Was your happy birthday fun?” or “Today is my happy birthday!” I don’t know if it’s an ESL thing or what but even in Spanish you don’t say “Hoy es mi Feliz cumpleaños.” This is something I continue to not understand.
Just out of curiosity, how do you say “happy birthday” in Spanish?
